Radiation Oncology is a medical speciality that is an essential part of a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment. It uses high energy X-rays (photons) most commonly delivered through a linear accelerator machine. These therapeutic x-rays are painless and invisible and are used to treat a number of different cancers.

Our hospital has a dedicated department of Radiation Oncology with an in house Linear accelerator (Varian DMX 120MLC) and a state of the art latest treatment planning software system (version 16.1).

At our centre we are treating most of the patients with high end Precision and CT/PET/MRI Scan based 3D Planning of IMRT and IGRT techniques which ensures better tumor control and Sparing of critical organs and minimizing dose to normal healthy tissues.

The Department of Surgical Oncology was established in 2007 and was one of the earliest Surgical Oncology departments in this region. The department has grown strength to strength, abreast with latest developments and moving towards the goal of adequate cancer surgery along with function/ organ preservation in time with the internationally accepted treatment standards and guidelines. It is the best center for cancer treatment and research, catering to the needs of people of the tricity and adjoining states.
